Below is a list of short stories I have written.
I have hosted a couple of my stories here, which can be accessed via the linked title. Lightning Never Strikes Twice is a parody of the hard-boiled 1940s American private eye genre featuring my creation of George “Lightning” Bolt. A Grave Mistake, a lightly comic domestic murder mystery, plays closer to home.
Featuring 1940s New York P.I. George “Lightning” Bolt:
- LIGHTNING NEVER STRIKES TWICE (short-listed for short story prize at Writer’s Forum and selected for inclusion in anthology published in e-book form by charity organisation Worldreader)
- FORK LIGHTNING (short-listed for short story prize at Writer’s Forum)
- CHAIN LIGHTNING
- LIGHTNING CONDUCTOR
Featuring John Shaft (created by Ernest Tidyman):
- SHAFT’S DEAL (submitted for potential inclusion in planned Shaft Anthology – currently this project is on hold)
